This service is available to commercial and residential customers within the designated service areas as determined by HWC. Verification of eligibility may be required.
2. Service Availability:
The free used cooking oil collection service is available on a first-come, first-served basis and is subject to availability. HWC reserves the right to limit the number of collections per customer.
3. Scheduling:
Customers must schedule their collection service in advance. Collection schedules are subject to change based on availability, weather conditions, and other factors.
4. Storage Bin:
HWC provides a secure, odour-free bin for the storage of used cooking oil at no charge. The bin remains the property of HWC and must be returned upon termination of service. Customers are responsible for the proper use and care of the bin.
5. Acceptable Materials:
Only used cooking oil is accepted for collection. Contaminants such as water, chemicals, or other substances must not be mixed with the oil. HWC reserves the right to refuse collection if the oil is contaminated.
6. Collection Process:
Customers must ensure that the storage bin is accessible at the scheduled collection time. If the bin is not accessible, HWC will attempt to reschedule the collection. Repeated issues may result in service termination.
7. Service Termination:
HWC reserves the right to terminate the free collection service at any time, with or without notice, for reasons including but not limited to improper use of the storage bin, contamination of the oil, or other violations of these terms and conditions.
8. Environmental Responsibility:
HWC is committed to eco-friendly practices. The collected used cooking oil will be recycled or repurposed in accordance with environmental regulations.
9. Liability:
HWC is not liable for any damages or losses resulting from the use of the storage bin or the collection service. Customers assume full responsibility for the proper storage and handling of the used cooking oil.
10. Changes to Terms:
HWC reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of any significant changes.
